West Brom striker Salomon Rondon hopes to visit Everton midfielder James McCarthy after his double leg fracture on Saturday.
The pair came together, leaving McCarthy with a leg break.
McCarthy was due to undergo surgery on his right leg yesterday but Albion's striker will go and see him when the 27-year-old is able to receive visitors.
Rondon released a message of goodwill to McCarthy on Saturday night and is now planning to visit him in hospital.
Baggies boss Alan Pardew helped console his striker on the pitch.
"I just said to him it was a complete accident," said Pardew. "That's what I was trying to relay to him.
"Although it's an incident that can effect you, it happens in football and it happens in life - accidents like that.
"We all have to get on with it. He didn't have time to recover from that, but he managed to get his head together."
