West Bromwich Albion striker Peter Odemwingie says arrogance shown by Liverpool ahead of their game inspired them to victory.
The Nigeria international was a key player in the Baggies' shock triumph.
Odemwingie said: "We heard that one of their players had said they expected to get three points. That provoked us to respond.
"Another factor in wanting to win was knowing the importance of the game for the manager.
"His team talk before the match was inspirational. He told us we would do well."
