West Brom striker Miller admits goal drought weighing on him

Ishmael Miller admits his lack of goals for West Brom is beginning to weigh on him.

He told the Birmingham Mail: "I've had chances in previous games and as a striker that is all you can ask for. Sometimes the keeper might have pulled off a great save or sometimes I might have missed - but you get more worried if you have one chance in four or five games.

"I have had a chance in nearly every game and it's just a matter of me taking it. The more comfortable I get, the more I become a better player and the more chances I will take."

Miller admits that his failure to find the net this season had been playing on his mind.

"Of course it has because you want to score as many goals as you can and help the team out as much as you can," he said. "But if you keep doing that the goals will come. Every striker will tell you that.

"One of these months I will score four or five in the month. That's how football works.

"Jermain Defoe didn't score for five or six games last season but this season he has scored six and Wayne Rooney has been the same. That is sometimes how it works and hopefully it can be the same for me.

"I am giving 110 per cent in every game and trying to improve as a player, that's the main thing. Goals will always come for me because I know I will always get chances."
