West Brom striker Lukaku unsure of Chelsea return

The Chelsea future of West Bromwich Albion striker Romelu Lukaku is undecided.

The London Evening Standard says even though Lukaku has proved he can play at the highest level, much will depend on whether the new Blues manager wants him to be part of the squad next season.

Interim first-team manager Rafael Benitez will leave in the summer and Chelsea have begun the search for a permanent replacement, with former boss Jose Mourinho their first choice.

Lukaku will take part in the pre-season tour to South East Asia in July, whoever is in charge, and a decision on his future will be taken on the team’s return to the capital.

Chelsea are expected to make signing a top-class striker their main priority in the summer, with Atletico Madrid star Radamel Falcao their first choice.
