Chelsea boss Roberto di Matteo faces a battle to convince Romelu Lukaku to return from his loan at West Bromwich Albion.
The Daily Star says although there is a clause in the Belgian's contract that allows Chelsea to end his year-long loan early, the 19-year-old is not as eager to return to his parent club as Di Matteo had hoped.
The £18million signing endured a frustrating time last season, as he found his playing time limited behind established first-teamers Fernando Torres and Didier Drogba.
And - despite Drogba's summer departure - Lukaku is unwilling to return to a similar situation, especially if Chelsea also re-open their bid for Atletico Madrid star Falcao.
