West Brom striker Jay Rodriguez frustrated after Bournemouth defeat

West Brom striker Jay Rodriguez was left frustrated after defeat at Bournemouth.

Rodriguez praised the effort of his team-mates – as well as the supporters who made the journey south on Saturday.

“We're absolutely gutted about getting beaten," he said. “We know Bournemouth are a good side, a good passing side, and they've got individual talent but I thought we kept them quiet.

“We set out a game plan, we stuck to it and yet we're stood here without any points.

“It's not a lack of effort from the lads, they've worked hard every day since I've been here.

“That's the thing that keeps us going, and keeps me going. I look at my teammates and every single one of them is grafting.

“We worked on the move for our goal in training so for it to come off was really nice. It was a good team goal.

“We've got to pick out the positives of everything we can, whether that's something small or something big.

“The main thing is the three points though and we've not been good enough so far, but it's not mathematically impossible so we've still got to believe we can get out of this."
