West Brom striker Berahino thanks England for second chance at life

West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino has thanked the England nation for giving him a second chance at life.

Berahino has thanked England for giving him 'a second chance' to mark World Refugee Day.

The Baggies forward fled war-torn Burundi as an infant and admitted he once thought his life was over.

"The things I have gone through I wouldn't wish anyone to go through," Berahino told the United Nations.

"I thank England for giving me a second chance and making it easy to follow the dream I have always had to become a footballer."
