Roman Bednar says he's the man to replace crocked West Brom striker Ishmael Miller.
"Everybody's really sad for Ishmael because he's important for us," Bednar, who has been used as a substitute recently, said. "He scored some good goals for us and I just wished him all the best when I saw him at the training ground.
"If the gaffer wants to bring new players in during January, I understand we need competition in the squad. But, of course, I want to fight for my place. I'm ready to start against Sunderland, if selected. But I think the gaffer would have preferred to try Ishmael and me together again."
