West Bromwich Albion striker Nicolas Anelka is prepared to accept a five-match ban for his controversial 'quenelle' gesture.
The Telegraph says after receiving the written reasons of the independent regulatory commission which found him guilty of celebrating a goal with an anti-Semitic gesture, Anelka was not planning to contest the verdict.
That was unless the FA lodged its own appeal against the leniency of the sentence, the minimum that could be imposed under its new anti-discrimination regulations.
