West Brom have yet to receive a formal offer from Sevilla for record signing Borja Valero. The 25-year-old midfielder, who joined from Real Mallorca for £4.7million in August 2008, suffered a tough first season with the club in the Premier League and as a result was loaned back to his former club last summer.
The player has publicly stated he wants a move back to Spain with Sevilla, but a move away from the Hawthorns still seems some way off.
Baggies sporting director Dan Ashworth told the Express & Star: "The first thing I have to say is that we have no formal offer (from Sevilla). I know there is interest, but there is no clear movement.
"It is one thing for Borja Valero to want to sign for Sevilla and quite another for us to have an agreement.
"First, someone must make an offer, and then we will analyse everything. What I will say is that we are not going to under-sell the player."
