West Brom boss Tony Mowbray is stepping up his bid for Manchester United striker Manucho.
Mowbray will ask United to lend him the Angola international for the rest of the season when the transfer window opens in the new year.
Manucho arrived at Old Trafford in January but has only made one appearance as a substitute under Sir Alex Ferguson.
And Mowbray, who is growing increasingly concerned at Albion's lack of goal threat, will try and persuade Fergie to agree a loan deal for the 25-year-old.
