West Bromwich Albion skipper Chris Brunt says they cannot afford to get complacent.
Brunt says Albion have to put the mathematics to one side and continue taking it one game at a time.
"I don't think anybody can set a points target because it's such a crazy season," he told the WBA website.
"Saturday's win put us in 12th place for 24 hours - it's ridiculous! We were watching West Ham going 2-0 up against Manchester United on TV before our game and thinking 'here we go again'.
"So it was nice to get a result and see a couple of the other teams around us stumble.
"We've just got to keep going.
"We can only affect our own games and if we keep doing that we've got a great chance."
