New West Bromwich Albion signing Paul Scharner believes former club Wigan Athletic are relegation certs.
The 30-year-old Austrian star sealed a free transfer move to West Brom on deadline day after being axed by Wigan in June.
Scharner said: "I fear the squad left does not have enough experience this time.
"I hope I am wrong and that both they and my new club stay up, but it will be very tough.
"Mr Whelan's dream was to bring up a club into the Premier League.
"That target has been reached now and I don't think there is another target or goal to go for."
