Former Hull City goalkeeper Boaz Myhill is ready to challenge Scott Carson for No1 status at West Bromwich Albion.
The Wales international completed a whirlwind move from Hull for an undisclosed fee late on Friday night - before making his debut the following day as a half-time substitute in the 1-1 draw at Coventry.
"Albion are a massive club and I've been blown away by the setup," Myhill told the WBA website.
"We have awesome training facilities and I have obviously played at The Hawthorns before so I know what the stadium is all about. I am now keen to make an impression on my team mates.
"I have been made no promises by anyone in coming here.
"I understand I will have to earn any football I get - and I intend to do that.
"As a rule in the Premier League, you are never going to join a club where there isn't a top goalkeeper - and Scott is certainly one of those.
"I understand that and I respect him but I will work hard and fight to get a place."
