West Bromwich Albion signing Kevin Andrews has hit out at the running of former club Blackburn Rovers.
Andrews has spoken out about the regime which deemed him surplus to requirements, first loaning him out to Ipswich before allowing him to move to The Hawthorns.
"Things went on in the summer that I wasn't entirely happy with," he said. "I had a tough season last year with a fairly simple injury, where I ended up getting an infection from the operation.
"It was taken out of my hands in the summer. They wanted rid of me without really consulting me, so from that point on I was keen to get away."
And Andrews sympathises with the players left at the club.
"I think it's very hard," he said. "The way the club's been run since the owners have taken over, the whole scenario isn't ideal.
"I think anyone that is in it will tell you that it's a bit of a mish-mash.
"The budget has been restricted, there's players leaving left, right and centre. It's not an ideal scenario.""For one reason or another I didn't play a lot of football last year.
