West Brom set to land Man City defender Onuoha in January

West Bromwich Albion are chasing Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha.

The People says Onuoha is set to sign for Roy Hodgson's West Brom in a £3million deal when the transfer window opens.

Onuoha is frozen out at City and available for sale - with boss Roberto Mancini relegating him to sub for the Carling Cup 'reserve' team. Mancini now rates Onuoha as his fifth choice, a massive fall from grace for the home-grown star.

The former England Under-21 defender has been exiled since returning from Sunderland on loan, but now his agony should be over with a move to the Baggies in the New Year.
