West Bromwich Albion are ready to open contract talks with Wigan Athletic striker Franco di Santo.
The Birmingham Mail says the Argentina international, who is a free agent after his Wigan contract expired, had informal talks with the club last week.
He is due for a further round of discussions in the coming days, with the transfer window re-opening for business next Monday.
