West Brom are seeking to cut through any red tape to be certain of Allan Nyom's availability against Tottenham.
Nyom did not play in Saturday's 2-1 defeat at home to Derby County in the third round of the FA Cup because the Baggies are still waiting to receive written approval from the Cameroon FA. The 28-year-old told Cameroon, alongside six other players, that he did not want to feature in this month's Africa Cup of Nations.
The Express & Star says Albion are fully confident they have done everything by the book, but if Cameroon continue to play hard-ball they will seek back-up from the FA.
“We didn't take a chance with him," confirmed manager Tony Pulis. “Hopefully he's available for Spurs. We're working on that as we talk."
