West Brom's Wood loaned to Millwall

West Bromwich Albion have sent promising striker Chris Wood on loan to Championship club Millwall.

The 20-year old New Zealand international has signed a two-month deal with the Lions, keeping him at The Den until November 20, but with Albion able to call him back after 28 days.

Wood, who scored a hat-trick against Millwall for Birmingham City last season, will go out for his fifth loan spell since he joined the Baggies in 2009 and is excited about making an impact in Southeast London .

"I'm not in the first-team picture at West Brom, so I'm dying to start playing regular first-team football again," he told Millwall's official website.

"In January I will give some thought to my longer-term future, but for now I'm just looking forward to playing for Millwall and hopefully scoring some goals."
