West Brom defender Paul Robinson may miss the club's vital trip to Fulham this weekend due to the impending birth of his child.
Robinson is currently on stand-by at his wife's side and is hoping for the birth to go ahead before the weekend.
"We're hoping the baby is going to be here before the weekend but if not then I'll have to have my car driven down just in case," Robinson told the Express and Star.
"Our parents will be coming up to look after Caroline. But if anything happens I might be shooting up the M40.
Robinson was forced to miss the Baggies training camp in Spain this week but has been training hard at the club's home ground.
"I wanted to stay with my family and I simply didn't want to leave my wife at this time," he said.
"I can come into the training ground this week and carry on with my training knowing I'm closer to her.
"The best thing is seeing the birth of your child so it was a decision that wasn't hard to make."
