West Brom's Morrison sidelined for two weeks

West Brom midfielder James Morrison looks set to miss up to two weeks after injuring a hamstring against Aston Villa on the weekend.

Originally it was feared that Morrison would be out for longer but the player himself revealed some good news on the club's official website. "The good news is the hamstring injury I suffered in Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Villa Park is only a grade one strain and hopefully I'll be fit for the trip to Hull a fortnight on Saturday," Morrison wrote.

"I'm gutted about missing the two big home league games against my old club Middlesbrough and Manchester United. Plus, I'll sit out the FA Cup clash with Burnley at The Hawthorns.

"But that's football and I've just got to move on.

"Maybe I keep rushing back too soon but I don't want time out because our situation is too important."
