West Brom's Hodgson hoping his squad can stand up

West Bromwich Albion manager Roy Hodgson hopes his small squad can stand up to the rigors of the Premier League.

The Baggies have Zoltan Gera out for the season whilst Steven Reid is currently touch along with no less than 10 players out on loan and Hodgson is slightly concerned about the current size of his squad.

"Touch wood, everyone has come through from last week (against Wigan Athletic) and we have a full complement," he told the club's official website.

"Albeit our squad is quite small at the moment thanks to the fact we have loaned quite a few players out."

Hodgson was also hoping that Reid would be fit for the trip to Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.

"Steven has had a slight knee problem so we're still waiting before we make a definite decision on him," he added.
