West Bromwich Albion manager Steve Clarke insists he is not bitter about missing out on Romelu Lukaku on transfer deadline day in the summer.
The Belgian striker starred on loan for the Baggies last season, scoring 17 goals, and Clarke was keen to bring him in on another 12-month spell from Chelsea.
However, Lukaku ended up heading to Everton where he has netted five times in the Premier League so far this campaign but Clarke admits there is no point worrying about what might have been.
"What's the relevance? It's gone," he said ahead of Albion's trip to Stamford Bridge on Saturday. "We did good business on deadline day and got in some good players.
"Since we've brought those players in we've picked up 12 points from seven matches, which is a good return. That's all we need to concentrate on.
"There's no point going over old ground that's been covered before. We want to just look forward to the game now. As my mum used to say, there's no point crying over spilt milk.
"I've got a lot of good friends at Chelsea and I look forward to seeing them at the weekend."
