West Brom remain favourites ahead of Rangers for Allan

West Bromwich Albion remain in the boxseat for Dundee United midfielder Scott Allan.

The Daily Mail says Rangers are trying to persuade Allan to snub a move to West Bromwich Albion.

However, Albion are prepared to offer £400,000 which is more than Rangers.

United manager Peter Houston hinted Allan's preference is for a switch to Albion, who last week agreed a fee for the 20-year-old, who is out of contract at Tannadice at the end of the season.
