Promoted West Bromwich Albion have rejected a £2.5million offer from Sevilla for Spanish midfielder Borja Valero as they seek about double for to compensate for his purchase cost about two years ago.
The 25-year old joined the Baggies in summer 2008 for a club-record fee of £4.7million but has struggled to become a major influence and was even loaned out to Mallorca last term.
West Brom are prepared to sell for the right price and it is believed that Sevilla are planning to come back with an improved offer.
