West Brom have upped the ante on what they believe defender Paul Robinson is worth, pricing Bolton out of a deal.

Trotters boss Gary Megson emerged with a £500,000 offer to the Baggies for Robinson but the relegated club doubled his price tag, ending interest for his services.

Robinson is likely to leave West Brom this summer but is it unlikely he will land at Reebok Stadium after these recent events.

The 30-year old has expressed his desire to work with former boss Tony Mowbray, now in charge of Scottish giants Celtic.
