West Brom playmaker Dorrans hopes injury woes are behind him

West Bromwich Albion midfielder Graham Dorrans is determined to make up for last season's injury-plagued campaign.

He is more than happy for his fitness work to eat into his summer break if it enables him to report back for pre-season training in peak condition.

"I've been in most of last week and this week and my ankle's feeling good," the ex-Livingston ace told the WBA website.

"I've been training with a few of the Academy lads and seeing how it goes.

"It's all going well so far. I knew I was going to have to come in and do an extra few weeks' work.

"It's part and parcel of what I've got to do.

"I managed to get fit enough to be involved in the last couple of training sessions before our last game of the season at Newcastle - but that match came too soon.

"It's feeling good now, though, and if the season was still going on as we speak, I would hopefully be involved.

"Fingers crossed that things keep going well as I do more rehab over the summer so that I can get back in with the other lads on the first day of pre-season and kick on from there."
