West Bromwich Albion players have moved to take the sting out of the Peter Odemwingie controversy by presenting the striker with a QPR shirt!
The West Brom striker turned up at Loftus Road on Thursday ready to complete a move to Rangers, only to be turned away by staff when it became clear no deal had been agreed between the two clubs.
Odemwingie - who had spoken to journalists outside the ground about his delight at the imminent move - was then forced to return to West Brom.
Baggies players have reacted in fairly good humour to the whole farce.
A picture on Twitter this morning showed the QPR shirt - the West Brom players apparently having had Odemwingie's name printed on a QPR jersey and left it for him in the dressing room at the club.
