West Brom players convinced they have coolest manager in game

West Bromwich Albion players feel their manager has it over Manchester City's Roberto Mancini in the cool stakes.

And that's why the bouncing Baggies believe they can deepen Mancini's Manchester City crisis at The Hawthorns this afternoon.

Former Blackburn star Steven Reid said: "He's a cool manager, he obviously looks the part on the touchline as well, he's immaculately turned out, but most of all he's a cool calm manager.

"Does he beat Mancini in the style stakes? That's a good contest, it's the Italians, they have a bit of style and our gaffer brings that into the changing room.

"He wants us to play a stylish brand of football as well which we have been doing.

"I think the only time I've seen him fly off the handle was last season, my first game on loan we played QPR, there were tables flying about, stuff like that - he whacked a couple of tables anyway. Since then he's been superb and hopefully that continues and he won't have to lose his rag again.

"There are little things. For instance I'm in charge of the club fines - at most places they go directly to the club, but he's just put it in charge of the senior pros in the dressing room.

"It's brilliant, because that way the changing room looks after itself.

"And no, he certainly hasn't been fined yet - it's another bit that goes back to him being the dapper Mr Cool. I don't think he gets anything out of place, although as soon as we get to 40 points maybe we'll find something then!"
