West Bromwich Albion have approached sacked Cardiff City manager Malky Mackay.
The Daily Mail says the Baggies have made a move for the Scot.
The 41-year-old fits the profile of manager West Brom are searching for after their shock decision to sack Steve Clarke last month.
A potentially bitter court battle against Cardiff owner Vincent Tan over compensation could prove a stumbling block towards WBA's attempts to secure Mackay, however.
