West Bromwich Albion are in talks with Manchester United for Darren Fletcher.
The Manchester Evening News says new Hawthorns boss Tony Pulis is interested in taking the United midfielder to the Midlands as a holding midfielder to bolster the Baggies efforts to climb away from the Premier League danger zone.
Pulis is understood to have wanted to sign Fletcher when he was manager at Crystal Palace. The collapse of those transfer plans contributed to him leaving Selhurst Park before the start of this season.
United academy product Fletcher, who'll be 31 at the start of February, has had a traumatic time since 2011 when he battled the debilitating illness ulcerative colitis.
Albion have not yet made their interest concrete with a bid.
