West Bromwich Albion boss Steve Clarke isn't ready to release Saido Berahino.

The Baggies have five senior strikers on their books, with Peter Odemwingie serving a three-game ban.

"There is a prospect (of Berahino leaving on loan) but at the moment the answer is no, because I've lost Peter for three games," said Clarke.

"Over the next few games we might pick up injuries.

"I've spoken to Saido and he's happy to be around the place.

"He's a good young prospect and we'll manage him as carefully as we can and we'll make sure he gets appropriate minutes on the pitch, whether it's for us or somebody else."
