West Brom not aiming to replace Burton

West Bromwich Albion boss Roy Hodgson is in no rush to replace coach Terry Burton.

Burton was allowed to move Sheffield Wednesday this week.

"I'm sorry to see Terry go," coach Keith Downing told the WBA website. "He certainly settled well into the group and, with his experience, he was very good for the staff and the players.

"He was always going to be here on a temporary contract due to the situation with Dave Jones obviously looking to get back into work.

"He had a good partnership with Dave at Cardiff, so with Dave getting back into work it was always going to be a case of when he would go to work with him.

"We're disappointed that he's gone because the relationship we had with him was very good.

"Do we have any replacements lined up?

"We've discussed it and we will carry on as we did when Michael (Appleton) left a few months earlier.

"We will carry on with me, Dean and the gaffer."
