West Bromwich Albion No2 Kevin Keen is confident they'll land a couple of 'wow' signings in the coming days.

Keen believes Albion are making good progress in their pursuit of new players.

"We're a bit thin on the ground in terms of numbers but the club are working hard to bring in a couple of news bodies of a real quality that will excite the crowd," said Keen. "A bit like when Nico came in and people went 'wow' - so we are hopeful things will come off. We know we need players and Richard (Garlick) and the chairman are working on those.

"I can't say whether we've made an offer for this player or that player.

"But the players we've been connected with in the press - whether it's Kalou or Sinclair or whoever - you only have to look at reels of footage over the last couple of years to see they are quality players.

"If they end up coming to the Hawthorns that will be fantastic, but let's wait and see."
