West Bromwich Albion No2 Keith Downing feels their manager's job is a coveted position.

Roy Hodgson will leave the post next week to take charge of England.

Downing told the WBA website: "I will not put myself forward and my intention is to assist anyone who comes in.

"It is for someone who has a bit more experience at this moment in time.

"I would imagine it would attract a bigger name now."
