West Brom News: Pulis upset with Chadli injury blow; Burke back for Chelsea

West Brom have lost Nacer Chadli for an undisclosed period of time.

Chadli started each of Belgium's friendlies against Mexico and Japan despite only playing 161 Premier League minutes for the Baggies this season.

And Chadli's injury, which was suffered in training on Thursday, is a disappointing blow for Head Coach Tony Pulis.

"We're very disappointed that Chadli's come back, having played two games for Belgium," said the Baggies boss.

"We're disappointed that he's played the two 90 minutes and has ended up getting an injury on Thursday in training.

"That's going to leave him out for the foreseeable future.

"He missed pre-season, we played him in a couple of games, but he didn't feel 100 per cent fit.

"I think him going off to play for Belgium, and to play in the two games for the full 90 minutes in a short period of time, has unfortunately caught him out."

Meanwhile, Pulis says Oliver Burke is ready to feature against Chelsea.

Burke has struggled with a recurring hamstring injury since his move from Red Bull Leipzig in August, making just two first-team appearances in the opening stages of the Premier League campaign.

Pulis said, "Oli will definitely be involved in the group whether he starts or come off the bench.

"We're pleased to have him back."

But Albion are wary of pushing the youngster too hard too soon on his return to action.

"The thing with Oli is making sure that we don't throw him in and he gets injured again," warned Pulis.

"It's important that we get him to a level where he can play. If we put him on the bench he'll come on and have time.

"With the pace of the game today and the rigours that these players are put through, you've got to make sure they're one hundred per cent fit."
