West Brom, Newcastle target SWP must take pay-cut to get Man City move away

Manchester City winger Shaun Wright-Phillips must take a huge pay-cut to move on from Eastlands.

The Mail on Sunday says West Bromwich Albion, Newcastle United and West Ham United all want the England international.

But he will have to take a hefty pay cut to leave.

Wright-Phillips is on £70,000-a-week and although City did a deal with Cardiff that involved paying a percentage of Craig Bellamy's wages it is understood that was a one-off prompted by manager Roberto Mancini's desperation to move Bellamy out.
