Preston North End goalkeeper Andy Lonergan remains a target for West Bromwich Albion.
The Daily Mail says Lonergan is highly rated at Championship level and many a Premier League manager has wondered whether he can make the step up.
That has made him vulnerable to offers and West Brom goalkeeping coach Dean Kiely is well aware of Lonergan's capabilities.
However, West Brom's opening offer has fallen well short of Preston's valuation, which is believed to be around £3m, and they are now considering Lee Grant at Sheffield Wednesday.
