West Brom monitoring ex-Sunderland keeper Gordon

West Bromwich Albion are believed to be keeping tabs on recently-released Sunderland goalkeeper Craig Gordon.

The Scottish gloveman is being targeted by the Baggies in case they miss out on permanently signing last season's star loanee Ben Foster who has returned to parent club Birmingham City.

Gordon was this week set free by the Black Cats after an injury-plagued tenure at the Stadium of Light and is now hoping to attract some potential suitors with solid performances in friendlies for Scotland beginning against the USA in Florida this weekend.

West Brom are also showing interest in the likes of Rangers' Allan McGregor, West Ham United's Robert Green and Bolton's Jussi Jaaskelainen.
