West Bromwich Albion midfielder George Thorne is grateful for his time on-loan at Peterborough United.

Thorne was on loan at London Road from West Brom before Christmas and impressed during his seven games at the club.

The loan was very important," Thorne admitted. "There is a bit of pressure, there is a lot of focus on you and people are paying to watch you. Ultimately these people pay your wages, so you have to be on the top of your game all the time.

"It was a huge chance for me to go out and play some games. It helps with the match fitness and sharpness. Not only that, it shows your own club what you can do so the Peterborough experience was very good for me."
