West Brom midfielder Mulumbu full of praise for new Chelsea manager Di Matteo

West Bromwich Albion midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu has paid tribute to former manager Roberto di Matteo.

Di Matteo has just replaced Andre Villas-Boas as caretaker boss at Chelsea.

Mulumbu told the Express & Star: "He is a great coach and I learned a lot working with him. He is a great gentleman as well. You can talk to him about anything and I think he deserves to be at Chelsea.

"He was a midfielder like me, so he helped me a lot. When you play your first season in the Premier League, it's not very easy.

"The pressure is very intensive but he talked to me all the time and helped me a lot.

"I owe him a lot and he is a good gaffer."
