West Bromwich Albion stopper Ben Foster has been ruled out of Saturday's clash with Chelsea after undergoing groin surgery.

West Bromwich Albion stopper Ben Foster has been ruled out of Saturday's clash with Chelsea after undergoing groin surgery.

Albion boss Steve Clarke confirmed that Foster would not be rushed back into the first team having had a minor procedure in hospital last week.

Deputy Boaz Myhill will retain his place when the European champions visit the Hawthorns on Saturday.
