West Bromwich Albion have reportedly made an offer for Aston Villa's Ciaran Clark.
Baggies boss Tony Pulis is eager to bring in a new centre-back this summer and according to The Sun, has lodged a £4.5million bid with his club's fierce West Midlands rivals.
Republic of Ireland international Clark has been with Villa his entire career, joining up with the academy as an 11-year-old back in 2000, and will be wrestling with the idea of joining Albion.
It is understood that Villa will turn down the approach as they are determined to keep the key defender as they prepare for the 2016/17 season in the Championship.
But Pulis is keen to lure Clark to The Hawthorns from Villa Park with the offer of regular first-team football at Premier League level.
