West Bromwich Albion hope to close a loan deal for Birmingham City goalkeeper Ben Foster.
The Mirror says West Brom boss Roy Hodgson is closing in on a deal to take the £6million-rated keeper Foster on a season-long loan.
The 28-year-old only joined the St Andrews club from Manchester United last summer.
But Birmingham are now keen to get the former England stopper off the wage bill following their relegation from the Premier League. Albion plan to take him on loan with a view to making the deal permanent in 12 months' time.
Foster, who called time on his England career last season, will become the new No.1 at The Hawthorns.
