West Bromwich Albion face a losing battle to bring Boca Juniors striker Pablo Mouche to the Premier League.
Mouche has expressed an ambition to continue his career in England this season - with the Baggies keen.
However, the Mirror says Mouche is struggling to fulfil the criteria for a work permit and does not yet have an EU passport.
Albion are also in advanced talks to get striker Peter Odemwingie, who bagged 15 goals last term, to pen an improved long-term deal too.
