West Brom legend Ally Robertson: Underwhelming market

West Brom legend Ally Robertson was left frustrated by their quiet transfer market.

Robertson wrote for the Express & Star: "There is no escaping the fact it has been a somewhat underwhelming end to the summer considering all the hope generated by last month's takeover and the promise of new investment.

"For whatever reason, those big deals which were talked about in the build-up to deadline day just never materialised and the frustration felt by supporters is entirely understandable.

"The next few months look like being particularly testing for head coach Tony Pulis and there is little option for fans but to get behind them and hope things go well.

"Despite the negativity, the Baggies did at least address some of the problems facing the team. We knew they needed full-backs and they brought in two with Allan Nyom joining from Watford and Brendan Galloway coming on loan from Everton."
