West Bromwich Albion striker Peter Odemwingie is a step closer from his Hawthorns exit.

The Daily Mail says Odemwingie has been left out of West Brom's squad for their pre-season tour of Austria as he nears a move to Crystal Palace.

The striker was forced to train with the academy trainees last week and remains embroiled in a dispute with the club following an abortive switch to QPR seven months ago.

Odemwingie returned to the Baggies last week following his summer break.
