West Brom are planning a bid for Tottenham defender Federico Fazio.

The Birmingham Mail says Albion have contacted Spurs about the towering 6ft 5ins defender and are now expected to table a bid in the next few days.

But Fazio, who made 31 appearances for Spurs last season, will not come cheap.

Tottenham are thought to want close to the £8million they paid Europa League champions Sevilla for Fazio's services a year ago.
