West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper Ben Foster has played down an injury scare.
Foster was forced to return from England duty during the recent international break due to a fractured thumb but believes he can cope with the problem with the aid of pain-killing jabs.
"There was a little bit of bone that I chipped off it in training, which is a little bit unfortunate," Foster told the Birmingham Mail.
"Hopefully I won't need surgery. I am managing it pretty well and getting some injections in it to kill the pain, so it's fine.
"It is the way it is and I just have to hope it heals itself.
"I'm hopeful it will and the doctors are as well, so that's that."
