West Brom goalkeeper Ben Foster is full of praise for young pair Sam Field and Brendan Galloway.
Galloway, who joined on a season-long loan from Everton, provided a pacy attacking threat down the left flank in the drab goalless draw with Middlesbrough on Sunday.
But it was 18-year-old Baggies fan Sam Field, whose pin-point metronomic passing in central midfield, that had supporters purring, and Albion's 33-year-old keeper predicts a big future for the teenager.
“For a lad who's 18, he's very composed, he almost looks elegant on the ball," Foster told the Express & Star. “He gets his head up, knows where players are around him, uses his body very well, and he keeps it simple.
“For somebody of his age that's the most important thing, keep it simple and find your way into the game and then you can start playing those cross-field balls and channel balls and stuff like that. He's got a huge future ahead of him."
Galloway's performance also stood out on Sunday, and even though it's early days, it looks like the 20-year-old defender has fixed Albion's long-running left-back problem for this season.
“I thought it was a fantastic debut from him," said Foster. “It's always nice to come off from a debut with a clean sheet but the way he played in general was really composed and it was just easy for him to be honest."
